GENESIS Wind & Power

Wind Power has a new design

Meet GENESIS Wind & Power with its patent pending innovative method of increasing the power production of wind turbines. Based on an efficient design structure, output power generated is estimated to be greater than the input energy required.

GENESIS = Energy/Power Magnification

See below for how this is accomplished.

Law of Conservation of Energy

The Law of Conservation of Energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, although it may be transformed from one form to another. We agree with that law.

First Law of Thermodynamics

The First Law of Thermodynamics is the thermodynamic relation that, within an isolated system, the total energy of the system is constant, even if energy has been converted from one form to another. This Law is another way of stating the Law of Conservation of Energy. This is why perpetual energy in an isolated system can not exist. We agree with that law.

GENESIS is not an isolated system. Our magnification of energy employs two separate energy systems. We use one system to capture, convert and store electrical energy, and we use a second system to magnify that stored energy. How we do that is this: We start with what is called, “Free Energy,” energy derived from Earth’s natural available environmental source, the wind. That free energy is captured and converted into electric energy via wind turbine generators. The energy produced from those devices is then stored in batteries for later use elsewhere. This is System One of the two systems GENESIS uses. System One is a natural energy capture, conversion and storage system, and it provides the outside energy required to turn on System Two of the GENESIS magnification of energy system. In addition, System One is not limited to wind-derived energy; any controllable energy source will suffice.

System Two is a static, stand alone closed-loop wind tunnel with multiple vertical axis wind turbines (VAWTs) strategically located in its circular wall. These VAWTs capture the wind in the tunnel that is created with an air blower with the turbines’ wind capture sides while protecting their return sides from the wind force. Each VAWT is attached to an electric generator that sends its produced electric current to battery storage for use elsewhere. This System Two magnifies the free energy of System One for producing more energy than what was needed to create the wind in the wind tunnel via an electric blower. In other words, one watt in and potentially much more than one watt out.

Thank you for visiting. Please look closely at what follows for insight into construction and further possibilities.

What we believe is possible:

If you have searched for information on the internet regarding free energy devices, environmental energy systems, wind energy turbines, vertical axis wind turbines, VAWT design, wind power conversion devices, free environmental energy sources, environmental energy devices, wind capture devices, wind turbine measurements in wind tunnels, wind tunnel experiments with wind turbines, or anything related to those concepts regarding wind power energy capturing, we believe this is different and has never been done before. Because if it had been done before, we would have seen examples of it somewhere in the world by now. We believe nobody thought of it yet, because they haven’t had the experience of inventing and building shielded VAWT wind catchers first. View the video clip, then read on for more information about this.

As you can see, the turbine tunnel is a closed-loop, circular tunnel shaped like a donut. The only air in that tunnel is the only air that the blower/fan, or an axial flow compressor, has to work with. No air leaves the turbine tunnel and no air enters it from the outside. This means that all of the air being blown in the tunnel by the front of the fan device installed in that wind tunnel comes from the available air behind it, assuring no diminishment of wind speed throughout the tunnel. Here’s an example of how that works: if you have a shop vac with a hose, you know it can be either a blower or a vacuum depending on where you attach the hose. Take the hose and attach it to both the shop vac’s air in and air out, and turn it on. The motor runs real smooth.

Because the returning side of a typical VAWT struggles to overcome the wind force against that side while attempting to capture the wind force on its other, we embed that VAWT turbine’s return side into the wall so to allow the wind to hit only its capture side. This way, the VAWT can operate close to its optimum potential without resistance from that wind. If constructed properly, multiple VAWTs can be installed in that wind tunnel’s wall, with each VAWT attached to an electrical generator.

The above images represent a bird’s eye view of the turbine tunnel with multiple turbines embedded in its exterior wall, and a side-view of how the VAWTs’ return-side blades are shielded and enclosed on the turbine tunnel’s exterior wall.

When the blower inside the wind tunnel is turned on by the free energy that was captured in System One of the GENESIS energy magnification device, the wind speed and its wind force created in that tunnel can be controlled, which is the objective of the wind tunnel – the ability to take what is given to us freely from nature and bringing that natural wind force into a controlled indoor environment to best manage it for its optimal potential for all of the VAWTs in it. That essentially free wind power can go from a gentle breeze to a raging wind storm, depending on the strength and power requirements of its embedded VAWTs.

And, because those generators are sending their produced energy to no-load bearing batteries, they’re essentially operating freely and without restrictions of any kind. Any potential magnetic forces holding those generator shafts in place are readily overcome and vanquished when the wind is introduced to them.

This is a top view diagram of an outdoor VAWT showing how the wind current coming at it is redirected on its return side with a protective 180-degree shield encircling the turbine. That natural outdoor wind hitting that shield will continue to encircle that shield to its opposite side where it will come together again with the wind that came through its unshielded side of energy-capturing turbine blades. Knowing how this works from earlier created models of such wind catcher devices in the past, we take the same concept of the wind shield and apply it to the wall of the turbine tunnel. And because the wind comes back together at the rear of the wind catchers, as shown below, a fin is attached to that shield and that provides for the wind catchers to always be facing the oncoming wind wherever it is coming from. Always headed directly into the wind, and always shielding the return-side of the turbine’s blades from the force of that wind for its optimal performance and power. Pretty cool, eh?

Again, we start with Nature’s free energy that we captured in System One. In this example, we are using a high-powered wind machine that consumes 200 watts per hour and can create wind speeds in excess of 250 miles per hour at its front end, a speed far much faster than required to spin a VAWT at its optimum speed and power potential. The wind force created travels through a circular wind tunnel that has only four VAWTs in it, with each VAWT attached to a 200 watt generator. When all four VAWTs are spinning at their optimum power potential, whatever that wind speed may be, they create a combined 800 watts of power output.

The result is 200 watts in from System One and 800 watts out from System Two, with a net gain of 600 watts.

So here we are with the question: Can this be done?

We here at GENESIS Wind & Power would very much like to see others here in the United States and elsewhere in the world explore for themselves the possibilities of the GENESIS Turbine Tunnel by constructing one. If you are in another country and you succeed in creating one that works as claimed, please let us know, and feel free to patent that in your country. Our patent is protected here in the U.S. and we welcome global kinship in the mutual goal of creating a better world through environmentally safe and sustained energy production to meet the increasing global demand for it.

If the GENESIS Turbine Tunnel works as claimed, the value proposition is potentially far greater than what you just read. The key to its true value potential is in the above’s last sentence. Yes, it could increase power output per square foot of construction versus other traditional power plants. Yes, the turbine return side shield concept, if applied to many VAWTs at large, would increase their power production. We believe when the GENESIS Turbine Tunnel is built and operating for a significant amount of energy magnification there will be a high return on the investment made to make that a reality.

Our true objective is the creation of environmentally resilient and redundant power systems that remove in time the need for any other source of energy creation than the naturally free energy sources currently available to all of us, everyone, everywhere. Disruptive? You can bet on it. Imagine for a moment, no more need for coal, oil, gas, nuclear, or any other power plant industry relying on those sources to create the electric power needed in our world to keep everything running. If I were them, and I discovered the GENESIS Turbine Tunnel as it is being presented for your consideration here works, I would immediately begin looking into this, then, based on any success with this invention, I would prepare to transition my current business model of electric energy production from that history and start magnifying the free natural energy available as described with the GENESIS Turbine Tunnel.

To date, The Power Challenge remains, and the problem that many VAWTs (vertical axis wind turbines) encounter, which is how to increase their power outputs, continues. For decades, engineers from various disciplines have spent years attempting to design a VAWT that would limit the amount of wind force hitting its returning side, with some slight positive gains here and there. But the frictional drag wind pressure is often too strong to overcome. That is because all of the turbine’s blades are exposed. The inefficiencies of the turbines is due to that frictional drag force on the returning blades, and in so doing it reduces the power rotation stroke of the turbine.

Below is one of the early experiments with the wind catcher shielding concept, including the earliest of the wind catcher combination shield-vanes. The video, although not the best quality, shows two wind catchers, each with a wind shield-vane rear fin for keeping the wind catchers headed into the wind. The one in the foreground has two identical turbines, one above the other, with the one on the bottom having the wind shield-vane and the one on top without the shield-vane. For comparison, you can see that the wind catcher in the background is a single turbine wind catcher with a similar shield vane. As you can see, the turbine without the shield stops spinning due to its frictional drag. And the ones with the shield-vanes keep spinning.

The solution to that continuing problem is in the reduction, or complete removal, of frictional drag from the energy-producing equation. We know from earlier wind catcher experiments and models built in 2020-2021 that shielding blades was the key. We discovered that by covering the returning rotation blades from the oncoming wind force, the frictional drag effect was not only reduced, it was eliminated completely, thus freeing the turbine to rotate with the wind force hitting only its capture blades at its optimum potential without that drag resistence.

Thus, with the reduction/removal of the frictional drag force on the returning blades, the driving wind pressure increases the power stroke wind speed. And wind speed equals power generation.

When we speak of our target market and the applications available, we are directing our attention to both the domestic and the international applications available, including industrial, commercial, residential, urban and off-grid small-scale applications in remote, rural areas. We see opportunities available in areas of design and fabrication, retrofitting of existing energy systems and the construction of new ones. With a successful GENESIS Turbine Tunnel, the possibilities in those areas are literally endless.

The GENESIS Turbine Tunnel is also known as the GENESIS Wind Tunnel Energy Generator shown in the graphic below. As a value proposition for improved energy production, as mentioned earlier the VAWT shield concept will improve the operation of existing VAWT turbines, provide for its shielding application in closed-loop wind tunnels, reduce the use of fossil fuels, provide resilient, redundant, and sustainable power, and will provide the clean energy that will drive VAWT adoption for energy production worldwide.

Although the above image was created this year, 2024, in May for this website, the one below was created on June 11, 2021, by the GENESIS Wind & Power founder, when the first idea of bringing Nature’s natural wind force inside presented itself based on the success of the wind catcher models with their shields built at that time. The question, however, remained through the testing years of the wind catcher scale models: Can it be done? Can the force of the wind needed be created with less energy than it takes to spin multiple energy-creating VAWTs in a wind tunnel at the same time? After a few years of experimentation, we reached the conclusion that yes, it can be done, because there is no reason we can think of for why it can’t.

Thank you for visiting. We hope the idea of the GENESIS Turbine Tunnel inspires you to build one for yourself. Feel free to contact us with any questions.

Meanwhile, we are seeking either partnership with an existing energy-related company or organization, or seed capital from any private or public source to build a workable prototype of our own. We think this project will require between $150,000 to $250,000 to produce an appropriate device.

UPDATES

Updates will be added as we progress toward our objective of providing a way forward into the future using less energy to make more. Can a device, environmentally safe and sustainable, magnify energy for the needs of many? Can such an invention truly provide truly clean energy, fossil fuel free and without any waste byproducts? Can such a device do what the inventor claims is potentially possible? That a magnification of FREE ENERGY is in fact available?
